Buying an instrument in Mildura
Mildura sits a long way from anywhere, four to six hours to Adelaide, Bendigo or Melbourne. That geography shapes how people here buy instruments, and it's worth being clear-eyed about the options.
Online is convenient and often looks cheapest. What it can't do is let you hold the instrument first, set it up before it reaches you, or fix it when something goes wrong. For strings, sticks, cables and consumables, online is perfectly sensible. For an instrument, particularly a first one, the setup and the ability to try it matter more than most people realise.
Driving to a capital city gives you a bigger showroom. It also costs a day and a tank of fuel, and your warranty and repair support is then several hours away.
Locally, you can play it before you buy it, take it home the same day, and bring it back to the same counter when it needs a string change, a setup or a repair. That last part is the bit people underestimate, instruments need ongoing attention, and a relationship with a bench is worth real money over the life of an instrument.

We're in the Langtree Avenue mall in the middle of town, with parking nearby. If you're driving in from Wentworth, Robinvale, Merbein, Red Cliffs, Ouyen or across the river, ring first and we'll make sure what you want to try is on the floor and ready when you arrive.

Do you price match?
Talk to us. We'd rather have the conversation than lose you over a number, bring in what you've found and we'll tell you honestly whether we can match it, and what you'd be getting here that you wouldn't get there.
Do you deliver outside Mildura?
Yes, we ship Australia-wide from the shop, and we're used to sending gear across Sunraysia and into far-west New South Wales.
Can you service an instrument I didn't buy here?
Of course. The bench is open to everyone, whatever the instrument and wherever it came from.
Do you supply schools?
Yes, instrument supply, servicing and hire for school music programs across the region, through normal school procurement. Get your music staff or business manager to give us a call.
How long have you been here?
Since 1987. Thirty-nine years in the same town, which means a lot of the instruments in Sunraysia bedrooms, school music rooms and stages came through this door, and a lot of them come back for servicing.
