A small nickel-plated thread adapter that turns a 3/8 inch internal thread into a 5/8 inch external one, the two common microphone-stand sizes. It screws fully into a 3/8 inch mic clip or shock mount so the clip then fits a standard 5/8 inch stand, and a screwdriver slot in the end lets you seat it tight. Worth keeping a couple in the gig bag. Made in China. AMS part number 171.
