A damper ring for a 10 inch (25 cm) drum, most often a rack tom. It lays loose on top of the batter head and takes the edge off the ring and overtones without killing the attack, giving a drier, more controlled tom sound, and it lifts straight off when you want the drum open again. Thin film, 0.25 mm thick, off white so it barely shows. AMS part number DB644.
