A 16 inch (41 cm) damper ring for a floor tom. The ring sits loosely on top of the batter head, where it damps the outer edge and cuts the boomy overtones and long sustain a big floor tom can produce, while the centre of the head still speaks. Lift it off for an open sound. 0.25 mm thick and off white in colour. AMS part number DB648.
