About this product
A practice mute for a 22 inch bass drum: a soft rubber pad on a plywood backing board that fixes to the hoop with the metal clamps supplied, so the beater lands on rubber instead of the head. The clamps mean no tape and nothing left on the hoop when it comes off. It is the same 22 inch pad that comes in DXP's seven-piece Rock mute set, sold separately here for anyone who only needs to quieten the kick. Part number TDK058.
