Ernie Ball's heavy four-string set, gauges .055, .075, .090 and .110: one step up from a Regular Slinky, and only the Beefy set goes thicker. The extra thickness over a 45-105 set means more tension under the fingers and a fatter, firmer low end, which suits hard pick players, drop-D tuning and anyone who finds lighter sets flap about. Round wound nickel-plated steel over a hex steel core, so the tone stays bright rather than dull. Made in California, foil sealed. Part number 2831.
