An octagonal wooden drum on a handle with eight tongues cut into the body, each a different pitch but not tuned to any particular note. Stir the beater around the inside and the tongues ripple like running water; tap them one at a time and you get eight distinct pitches. Comes with the beater. Made with the classroom in mind: the stirring action builds wrist control and the tapping trains the ear for pitch. About 25 cm long and 11 cm across. Part number ED065.
