A wooden guiro of the classic cylinder type, about 39 cm long and 6.4 cm across with painted red ends and a gloss finish. Roughly 20 cm of the body is ribbed, and two finger holes underneath let you hold it without choking the sound. Drag the wooden scraper along the ribs for the long rasp of a Latin rhythm part, or tap it for a short click. Scraper included. Suits a school percussion cupboard as much as a home Latin kit.
