About this product
A pair of natural wood castanets, each shell about 5.8 cm across, with an elastic cord threaded through the top to hold them in the hand. Wood gives a deeper, warmer clack than plastic, and the elastic keeps the shells springing apart between strokes so a player can build a roll. For flamenco and Spanish dance classes, folk groups or a school percussion box that wants the real sound. Sold as a pair. Model UE855.
