Peg compound from Pirastro for the wooden friction pegs on violins, violas and cellos, sold here as peg soap. Pull the peg out, rub a little onto the two bands where it touches the peg box, push it back and turn it a few times, and a peg that either slips or sticks will hold pitch and turn smoothly again. Pirastro say to coat the pegs once or twice, and to wipe off any excess before restringing. Made in Germany. Product number 9041.
